The JDC will be visiting New York next month with a planned schedule of events around the US Darts Masters.
The NDB have further extended their partnership with the JDC to include an academy package for the dutch juniors.
Mitchell Lawrie booked his place on the 2025 JDC Advanced Tour as he won his second event of the weekend and his sixth of the Foundation Tour season – while there was also a first event win for Joshua Machin.
Lawrie claimed the Event 16 title by beating his fierce rival for top spot in the rankings, Jack Howarth, 5-4 in the final in Coventry, as he drew level with the six event wins Jack Nankervis achieved last year.
Mitchell Lawrie and Jack Howarth shared the Foundation Tour honours by winning one event apiece as their battle for top spot on the overall rankings intensified in Coventry.
Scotland’s Lawrie was first out of the blocks, bagging the Event 13 title with a 5-3 win over Cori Wiltshire in the final.
Howarth, a double winner on the last Foundation Tour weekend, responded by claiming the Event 14 crown with a 5-1 win over Ieuan King in the decider.
Lilly Wheeler was the winner of Event 4 on the JDC Girls Series, beating Taylor Field 4-1 in the final as she bounced back from her semi-final defeat 24 hours earlier.
The 14-year-old from the Faringdon Darts Academy in Oxfordshire had breezed through the round-robin stage on Saturday unbeaten – but lost 3-2 by eventual winner Lexi-Jayne Rooksby in the last four.
ARCHIE Self has the lead at the top of the Advanced Tour rankings at the halfway stage after winning his second event of the weekend.
Self beat Ireland’s Aidan O’Hara in the Event 6 final on Saturday – and he did the same in the Event 8 showpiece to round off the weekend in style and ensure he has a one-point lead over Kieran Thompson in the rankings.
The other event winner on Sunday was Cayden Smith, who beat Thompson 6-4 in the Event 7 final for his first Advanced Tour event triumph.
Lexi-Jayne Rooksby celebrated her first ever JDC tournament win as she triumphed in the third event of the Girls Series to move joint top of the rankings.
The 15-year-old from Rushden in Northamptonshire – who also plays on the Foundation Tour – beat Maya Day 4-2 in the final in Coventry to go level on points with Paige Pauling.
ENGLAND’S Jack Howarth won back-to-back events – as he did on the previous weekend of JDC Foundation Tour action in Coventry – to put himself within three points of overall leader Mitchell Lawrie at the halfway point.
The 17-year-old from Sunderland had opened the previous weekend with successive event wins – and he was at the double again, beating Cori Wiltshire 5-3 in the first final and Lawrie by the same scoreline in the second.
Norway is leading the way in promoting junior darts locally and on the international stage.
The JDC will return to Gibraltar for a further offering of its most prestigious event the Junior World Darts Championship.
JACK Nankervis and Ryan Branley triumphed in Coventry to make it four different winners from from four events to kick off the JDC Advanced Tour for 2024.
In what is already shaping up to be an incredibly competitive season, 13-year-old Nankervis of England beat Nico Bado of Gibraltar 6-3 in the Event 3 final, before fellow Englishman Branley, 15, beat Khurelkhuu Tergel of Mongolia 6-5 to claim victory in the Event 4 decider.
After four events, Daniel Stephenson – the winner of Event 2 – leads the order of merit with 13 points, closely followed by Tergel (11), Branley, Nankervis and Bado (all on 10).
