Norway is leading the way in promoting junior darts locally and on the international stage.
For many years youth darts in Norway was none existent . When their 11 year old boy, Mathias, wanted to play darts, Nina & Alex Myrvang-Steff found themselves in a challenging situation.
There was no organised darts opportunities for juniors, Mathias had to join the adults.
Fast forward to 2022, Mathias is 14 years and still the only active youth player in Norway. The family decides it's time to look abroad for youth options and soon gets in touch with the JDC. February 2023, the family together opens up Scandinavias first JDC academy.
Alex and Nina both have a background from coaching other sports, combined with their passion for youth darts. Together with Mathias, they are setting a new goal for youth darts in Norway to make it easier for others to follow and open up more academies. With the slogan "Unity makes us stronger" they are now ready to launch JDC Norway.
JDC Norway will, in addition to organise accreditation days on Scandinavian soil, focus on uniting passionate enthusiasts for junior darts throughout the country. Through JDC Norway local enthusiasts can get assistance, support and advice in the process before and after opening their own academy.
JDC NORWAY Academy Accreditation Day which is open to all nations will be held in Oslo on June 15th 2024.
