Tai Anderson leads the South West qualifiers as players gear up for Volt regional finals. The Volt Series 6 regional finals take place this weekend, with players looking to book their spots at the national finals in Bristol in September – and an appearance on the big stage at the PDC’s World Grand Prix. Four regional events – in South West England, the West Midlands, East Midlands and Ireland – will take place on Saturday, with six more to follow on Sunday.

South West

Tai Anderson – son of PDC legend Gary – topped the group with 50 points and goes into Saturday’s regional final full of confidence having won nine events, including the last of the series at Highbridge Social Club. He finished two points ahead of Charlie Mossman, who has already qualified for the national finals, while Harry Lovatel finished in third after winning three titles in Kentisbeare. Cooper Cornish was fourth in the South West rankings having finished runner-up seven times across the series, while Josh Rea was fifth after winning four events.

West Midlands

Codey Exall goes in as a the No 1 seed after winning nine titles and losing in a further four finals. The prolific Exall ended the league phase on a high by winning in Halesowen, having been beaten in the Blackheath final the previous day. He finished ahead of Harvey-Lee Nelson-Harris, who won four events of his own while losing in another four finals, but went out in the group stage in Mossley last time out. Joel Walton’s six titles helped him finish third overall, while Lucas Kelly picked up three event wins on his way to finishing fourth.

East Midlands

Logan Smith won eight titles across the series to top the table and take the No 1 ranking into this weekend’s regional finals. He won the last eight events he played in to finish five points clear of Riley Herbert. Herbert also heads to the regional finals in good form, having won four titles including the last one of the series in Milton Keynes. Charlie Miller finished in third place after winning four events in Norwich across the series. Reece Smythe goes into the regional finals having also won four titles, while Joshua Gregory collected five wins.

Ireland

Jack Caulfield topped the rankings but has already qualified for the national finals, while Jamie Cunningham in second place has also booked his spot. With Tyler O’Connor also not involved this weekend, Cillian Grace goes into the Irish final as the top player from Series 6, having won three titles. Kyle Keegan goes in as the No 2 ranked player with one win, two runners-ups and three semi-final appearances, while William Fitzpatrick is ranked third after some strong performances in Cork over the series, including three finals and two semis.
