Former Patchway Sports & Social Club Reborn as “Hanger61” – The New National Darts Centre and Community Super Hub
The Junior Darts Corporation (JDC) is proud to announce its guardianship of the former Patchway Sports & Social Club, breathing new life into one of North Bristol’s most historic community assets. The venue will undergo a full transformation and reopen as Hanger61—a name chosen to honour the area’s proud aviation heritage.
While Hanger61 will serve as the National Darts Centre for the darting community, it is being developed equally as a vibrant community hub for Patchway and the wider North Bristol area.
A New Vision for Patchway
The revitalised venue will feature:
• A brand-new public sports bar
• A new kitchen serving top-quality basket food inspired by flavours from around the world
• Social gaming zones, including:
• Augmented darts lanes
• Augmented Indoor crazy golf
• Karaoke booths
• Pool tables
• Plus more leisure attractions to be announced
• Multiple large rooms will be repurposed into flexible entertainment and event spaces

For players and fans across the globe, Hanger61 will host one of the UKs premier darts facilities. Key features include:
• Space for up to 32 world-class match boards
• A state-of-the-art main stage arena
• Dedicated streaming suite, production room, and broadcast studio
• Darts academies, community coaching programmes, and a professional-level training environment
• An on-site dart shop and retail zone
Located just 25 minutes from Bristol Airport, 2 minutes from the M4/M5 interchange (next to the RAC building), and supported by numerous nearby hotels—including official partner Village Hotel Bristol—the venue is perfectly positioned for national and international events.
