Paige Pauling secured her place in the Girls Series Ultimate Final on the big stage in Blackpool in July after winning the latest two events – and she will be joined by Rebecca Allen.
England’s Pauling guaranteed her place by winning Events 7 and 8 in Coventry, while Ireland’s Allen reached the Event 8 final to secure her place on the World Matchplay stage on July 27.
Pauling was unable to compete on the last weekend of Girls Series action, but she moved back to within two points of Allen by winning her fourth and fifth events of the season – winning all 17 matches she played across the weekend.
She beat Yazmine Ruck-Havard 4-2 in the Event 7 final, before triumphing by the same scoreline against Allen in the Event 8 final.
Event 7
Paige Pauling returned to the Girls Series after missing the last weekend of action – and was straight back to winning ways in Coventry.
She beat Yazmine Ruck-Havard 4-2 in the final, the highlight being a checkout of 90 to go 3-1 up. She had reached the final by beating Taylor Field 3-0 in the semis, including an 87 checkout, following earlier 3-0 wins over Macy Gibbons and Maisey Jones.
In the round-robin phase, Pauling was equally impressive, only dropping two legs in her five wins, with her best performance coming in a 2-0 win against Lacey Powell. Pauling averaged 83.50 in that win, with three visits of 100-plus.
For Ruck-Havard, reaching the final saw her improve on her four semi-finals in earlier events, from which she should take great confidence into the last weekend of action in June.

Event 8
Pauling followed up her Event 7 win by beating Rebecca Allen 4-2 to take the Event 8 title.
Again the 17-year-old went unbeaten throughout the round-robin phase, this time dropping only one leg, before beating Harley Glover, Lexi-Jayne Rooksby and Lola Wheeler to reach the final.
Allen, who has won the three events not won by Pauling this season, was also unbeaten going into the final – and held her own through the first four legs of the showpiece.
The first five legs went with throw, with Pauling moving 3-2 up thanks to a 101 checkout. The first break came in the next leg – and it saw Pauling clinch the match, hitting 77 to seal the break and the title.
The two players have been the standout performers during the Girls Series and it is fitting they will contest the Ultimate Final in Blackpool this summer.
