First 13 players for Junior Power League line-up to be announced on Monday

THE first seven players to compete in the inaugural boys’ Junior Power League (JPL) will be revealed on Monday – along with the six players who will contest the girls’ event.

The JDC confirmed last weekend that the tournament committee were unable to unanimously agree on the eighth participant for the boys’ event – so a qualifying tournament will be staged in Coventry on Friday, ahead of the first night of action.

JDC chairman Steve Brown said: “We’re getting closer to the opening night of the JPL – and on Monday we will announce the first 13 players who will compete in this year’s events.

“The JPL is an exciting addition to the JDC calendar in 2025 and we’re excited to see the 13 players we will announce on Monday produce some outstanding darts, with the identity of the final participant to be confirmed at the venue on Friday evening.”

The 18 boys chasing the final spot in the JPL were all heading to Coventry next weekend for the opening weekend of Advanced Tour action – and now have an additional incentive the day before the Advanced Tour kicks off.
