Friday evening will see yet another rising star of the future gracing the Ally Pally stage.
Earlier in the competition JDC World Champion Keane Barry from Ireland made his second appearance in PDC World Darts Championships following last years JDC World title victory. Brooks however has had a magical end to 2020 with his appearance in the World Darts Championships by virtue of his dramatic World Youth title win last month against Joe Davis in Coventry.
In only the second world youth final to go the distance it was the 20 year old from lancashire who scooped £10,000 and a spot in the worlds this friday.
In such a short career Brooks has inspired so many and not just other young players.
Director of the Blackburn Youth Darts Academy Keith Brunt commented,
Bradley was the reason I formed Blackburn Youth Darts Academy. His attitude, determination and passion for the game inspired me to create something for other young players in the area. Bradley has always supported the work we do at the academy. He is a fantastic lad and all of us at the academy are so happy for him becoming PDC World Youth Champion. He is a great role model for all the young players to follow and his achievements are a perfect example of where players can progress, especially now with so many opportunities the JDC system provides. We all wish Bradley the very best for the future in is career and I am sure it won't be is last televised PDC title he claims"
Steve Brown JDC Chairman also commented,
"It’s been an absolute pleasure watching Bradley blossom since winning the inaugural JDC European championship in 2017.
Since then he has gone on to win two tour cards back to back and claim the title of the PDC world youth champion.
On a personal level it’s been a pleasure to be able to play alongside one of the former JDC academy players on the pro tour and of course next year Keane Barry will join us at the very top table.
Bradley’s personal accomplishments can only help solidify the future pathway for all the young stars that attend JDC academies all over the world".
Bradley will take on Dirk van Duijvenbode in the first match on Friday evening live on Sky Sports.

10 Years ago, Steve Brown changed the perception of junior darts and how young people can prosper in the sport of darts.
In 2010 professional darts player Steve Brown was looking for ways his son could participate in the sport he loved at a junior level. Soon to realise that there was nothing structured for young players in his area, Steve decided to see if anyone was interested in children playing in a group / academy session.
Above his dads public house in Bristol, Steve advertised a session for youngsters to learn and play darts in his local area. Expecting half a dozen or so children that day over 30 attended the first session and it was clear there was a need for this kind of opportunity for youngsters to play darts.
What made the sessions different was that Steve had created something that all children could do and would be the bench mark of their ability. Known now as the JDC routines, children throw at 57 independent targets in 3 segments. Shanghai 10-15 , Doubles around the board, Shanghai 15 -20
With an introduction of a coloured shirt system similar to coloured belts in martial arts, it was soon clear that the system worked and ability was clearly measured.
Now in 2020, the JDC has continues to follow the ethos of the original concept created by Steve Brown and now has academies affiliated to the JDC around the world.
Amongst the 10 year celebrations the routines are now used by thousands of individuals and teams on the JDC's latest concept JDC Virtual.
10 years have shaped the way we think about the junior game and the JDC has still plenty of offerings to fill the next 10 years.
JDC Virtual releases its second offering with the launch of the Virtual World Team Leagues.
The JDC lends its support to recognise ladies day with the onset of the inaugural Womens World Series event this weekend.
The JDC has a number of girls playing darts within its academy system and is supporting the event to boost the ambition of the current crop of young girls playing and hopefully to inspire others girls to start playing.
The JDC has the support of three female ambassadors, Laura Turner, Anastasia Dobromyslova and " queen of the palace" Fallon Sherrock who are assisting the JDC in promoting girls in the sport of darts and showing what can be achieved within the game.
The celebration of the ladies game will continue this weekend and will be marked every year on October 17th for years to come.
The JDC, JDC Virtual and its partners will be going pink this weekend with social media posts, logos and articles all featuring the colour pink to mark the celebration.
