A first win for Nathan Potter and a return to winning ways for Leighton Bennett complete T5&6 on the JDC tour.
Rileys Wolverhampton was the venue for the latest rounds of JDC tour events 5&6, now at the half way stage of this years tour.
In the first event of the day proceedings seemed to playing out in usual fashion with multiple tour winner Nathan Care and other tour exponents, Leighton Bennett, Harry Gregory, Henry Coates, Harry Martin and Ieuan Halsall all through the early rounds and into the last 16. However Nathan Potter was hitting form in the last 16 posting a 98.1 ave in his victory over Ben Carr. That form then pushed him onto another JDC final in a clash with Derbyshires Henry Coates.
Coates dispatching Jack Barrows & Leighton Bennett to reach the first final of the day.
After being 2-1 down in the final, Potter pushed on in legs 4&5 posting 94 averages in both legs and ran out a 5-3 winner to take his first JDC title.
Onto the second event of the day and a determined Leighton Bennett was on the march and moved into the later stages with wins over , Mitchell Mccarthy, Lewis Mayes, Callum Beddow and Ben Gamble in the Quarter Finals.
Setting up a mouthwatering clash in the Semi Final with Nathan Potter. Nathan Care and an inform Harry Martin from Worcester would play out the other Semi Final. Both games did not dissapoint with Bennett taking the last leg in his match and Martin moving on to another final.
Bennett was in confident mood now and he was not loosing this one. Bennett eased through with a 5-1 victory and a return to winning ways.
