Tuesday's action began with the Sports, Culture and Youth Minister, Mr Steven Linares opening the tournament officially in front of and excited crowd.
Group stage darts would be followed by a last 16 knock out stage that allowed the players plenty of game experience for the first day of three days of competition in Gibraltar. Teams in the running to be in the last 16 were making good headway in the early stages, England A, Ireland A, Gibraltar A and Holland A. However some exciting and super play from the remaining nations ensured things were getting tight and the day would be a longer affair. The bridge between nations not expected to be able to compete with the more favoured nations is getting smaller hugely noticable.
In the end the two teams that would make the final would be double dutch. Holland A and Holland B.
Holland A were just that bit stronger in the final and took the match. During the day the two teams averaged the same level at around 65 per team but Holland A, equipped with current JDC World Champion Jurjen Van der Velde retained the title to become 2019 Champions.
