The JDC's second tour of 2019, The Rileys Super16 Tour, will now hold a tournament in Liverpool.
Saturday October 26th's event will now be contested in the newly refurbished Rileys Liverpool. The Rileys Super 16 tour will be contested over 4 events from June - November culminating in a final showdown at Rileys Wolverhampton in December. The aim of the tour is to find the best 8 players which will be the 4 winners of each event and the next 4 highest placed in the tour order of merit.
The 8 players from the tour will be joined by the top 8 players within the JDC's affiliated academy network around the UK and Ireland.
The 16 finalists will play down to a final on December 28th in Wolverhampton. The actual final itself will be played out on stage at the PDC Masters in Milton Keynes in 2020. The 2 finalist will join the best players in the world of professional darts to play out their final in Milton Keynes.
Darren Barson JDC Director commented:
" yet another great opportunity for 2 players to grace a professional stage. Its a great platform for young players to experience the big stages, as with the Alexandra Palace, the players will be treated just like the professionals by the PDC team and will get a lot out of the day. Hopefully driving awareness of the individuals to help with their own profiles as well as show casing young talent to the wider world'.
The Rileys Super16 tour starts on June 29th.
